The Indians have been recognized in the Cal-Hi Sports CIF bowl rankings for the first time this season. They are No. 10 in Southern California in Division II.
I’m sure that the Indians’ 35-0 rout of Rialto caught the attention of fans outside of the desert who considered that Palm Springs had played a weak regular-season schedule.
Rancho Verde, the No. 1 overall seed in the Central Division, has been ranked for most of the season in the Cal-Hi Sports poll. They are currently No. 2.
The Indians’ ranking won’t mean anything unless they continue to win, and they will climb the rankings only if they keep winning convincingly. Their next step comes against Chino on Friday.
