What people are saying about Rancho Verde vs. Palm Springs

Let’s take a look at what some other media outlets have been saying about Friday’s CIF Southern Section Central Division title game between Rancho Verde and Palm Springs:

The game is expected to be close. CalPreps has projected Rancho Verde to win 27-24. In preview capsules, the Los Angeles Times picks Rancho Verde, while ESPN LA picks Palm Springs.

Whichever team wins the title will be a candidate to represent Southern California in the Division II state bowl game. Helix, located in La Mesa, is the odds-on favorite. Cal-Hi Sports has La Mesa at No. 1 in its Division II rankings, followed by No. 2 Rancho Verde and No. 3 Palm Springs.

The Press-Enterprise featured Blair Brown, who leads Rancho Verde’s defense at middle linebacker. He was a defensive lineman last year. It’s evident how explosive Rancho Verde’s offense has been, but it will interesting to see how its defense matches up the Indians’ offense.
