The Palm Desert High School tennis team won the school’s first back-to-back CIF tennis title Wednesday with a resounding victory against Santa Monica, 13-5.
The Aztecs did it with a deep and talented roster. Only five players are seniors. So expect the Aztecs to attempt the three-peat next season.
These seniors enjoyed four straight years of reaching the finals and winning it twice. The Aztecs, who were ranked No. 1 in Div. II all season, posted a 22-1 record with the lone loss to Div. 1 Corona Del Mar.
They also beat Santa Monica last year as well, 10-8, but this time is was no contest.

Juniors: Abe Hewko, Robert Graham, John Kimmes, Josh Weiss
Sophomores: Austin Rapp, Cameron McDonald, Ian Murphy, Matthew Leggat, Connor Berk, Jared De La Paz
Freshmen: Ryan Marker, Roman Bloch, Juan Ospina
